COLLABORATION AT WORK
An innovative model of regional collaboration, the LA Basin Workforce Network has launched its new website detailing groundbreaking programs that are working to connect underserved young people and job seekers across the region to high-growth career paths, while filling urgent labor gaps for the region’s vital industry sectors.
HASC and its workforce development partners highlighted their recent workforce pilot at the California Workforce Association’s Meeting of the Minds 2019 last month in Monterey. HASC with the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB), and HealthImpact — the state nursing workforce group.
The LA County Board of Supervisors recently recognized the first graduates of the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) Bio-Flex Pre-Apprenticeship program at a special reception and presentation on Tuesday, October 29. The 39 program graduates will be ready to help meet growing labor demands for LA’s bioscience employers.
